CQC REVISIT IN NOVEMBER 2016

Dear Patient

We are pleased to inform you that the practice is now out of special measures following a visit by the CQC inspection team in November and below is a message from the Chief Inspector that followed the visit.

Yours sincerely

Dr J Rawlinson & Dr E Williams

This service was placed in special measures in March 2016. Improvements have been made such that ratings of good for the delivery of responsive, caring and well led services and a rating of requires improvement for safe services have now been achieved. This has led to an improved rating of good. I am taking this service out of special measures. This recognises the significant improvements made to the quality of care provided by this service.

Chief Inspector of General Practice

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

In light of continuous verbal abuse which our Receptionists receive on an almost daily basis, we thought it was time to get this under control. At the last PPG meeting, the Practice Manager highlighted the need for action as this is getting much worse. A letter is currently being finalised by the Practice Manager and Dr Rawlinson which will be sent to any patient reported to have verbally or physically abused any member of staff. This letter is sent as a final warning with the clear instruction that another incident would cause an automatic de-registration. This has the full support of the PPG.
