Dr. Williams has got a special interest in joint pain and management of musculoskeletal conditions and will be running a private joint pain clinic on Saturday mornings similar to the service he led whilst working in Buckinghamshire. This is a private service and will be a one stop clinic where he will provide advice and management of joint pain, using an ultrasound scan on site to aid diagnosis and also offering ultrasound guided injections to help target treatment. Dr. Edward A. Williams MBChB, MRCS Ed, MRCGP, MFSEM, PGCert MSK USS
Qualified as a doctor in 1999 (MBChB) and undertook surgical training until 2008 (MRCSEd) then decided his interests lay in General Practice (MRCGP). He consolidated his years of experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics whilst undergoing his training in General Practice by completing a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (MFSEM). He worked with the Buckinghamshire Musculoskeletal Service whilst also working in General Practice until June 2017. During his last 2 years he led the service having taken on the position of Local Medical Director. He left the Bucks Musculoskeletal Service to concentrate on General Practice in Ascot; with the aim of transferring his skills to deliver a one stop Primary Care Joint Pain Service.
Dr. Williams is a GP Partner at Radnor House Surgery and Ascot Medical Centre based at Heatherwood Hospital grounds where he leads the Ascot Primary Care Joint Pain Clinic
Dr. Williams will be able to guide your treatment with other professionals – arranging and reviewing diagnostic investigations – MRI, CT X-ray etc and performing ultrasound scan guided joint and soft tissue injections when indicated.
